While this one is from my WordPress.com website (which is either archived or unmaintained for more than 2 years) and later imported into Substack, I still kept this in the Ghost publication archives here for posterity. So enjoy reading the back issues while ironing out the kinks post-import and expect more posts from the drafts backburner soon.

Hi, and welcome to my new WordPress blog-slash-future website. Some stuff is still a work-in-progress as of now, like the website icon, and even future plans, including that andreijiroh.dev domain + hi@andreijiroh.dev email address. But for now, I'll write on stuff I'm doing within a couple of weeks while the Philippines is still in lockdown and the $#!tlords like the [CENSORED BY THE BSHQ] himself are still f**king Filipinos up around (please compare our government with the Australien government as you please).

Why WordPress?

While I can set up a blog with Jekyll and host it on GitLab Pages (via ajhalili2006.gitlab.io domain), there's friction between setting up development environment and CI stuff and just writing blog entries. No offense to the Gitpod team, but maintaining yet another OSS personal project on my belt will be a bloody hell. (Also good luck with all the blog site UI if I manually theme it and use Tailwind instead of Bootstrap + Material UI combined.)

Why starting from scratch? Why not re-use your old WordPress.com website?

That old WordPress site, https://thekuyspotpotsblog.wordpress.com/ is my not necessarily a playground but chaotic mess site as I explore to learn about WordPress stuff, but now it'll sit as a personal relic for myself. I'll set it to private soon, so you'll not see the mess I ever cooked up in the past years.

Can I send you a message? Will you even reply?

It depends on if the person doesn't act like a dick in DMs, my personal schedule and if you ever asked me if you want to see me IRL and assert my proofs over Keybase and/or IDX stuff.
